Gumball Jackson

About

Genre: Screamo / Dubstep / Experimental
Active: 2010s
Location: Unknown (possibly Canada)

Bio:
Gumball Jackson exists at the absolute chaotic intersection of screamo intensity and dubstep bass drops, creating a sound that can only be described as “aggressively unhinged.” The project—whether a band, a solo artist, or a collective remains unclear—specializes in songs about situations that have spiraled completely out of control.

“She Pissed in the Ball Pit Again” became an underground phenomenon on certain corners of the internet, combining guttural screaming with earth-shaking bass drops to tell the tale of a recurring public indecency nightmare. The song’s chaotic energy perfectly captures the “what the fuck is happening” energy of its subject matter.

Very little is known about Gumball Jackson. They’ve never performed live (or if they have, no one admits to having been there). Their social media presence is sporadic and cryptic. Some believe the project is the work of a single deranged genius, while others insist it’s a collaborative effort between multiple equally unhinged individuals.

What is certain is that Gumball Jackson makes music for people who think most music isn’t nearly loud, chaotic, or disturbing enough. They remain active, presumably waiting for their next opportunity to document public mayhem.
